About Claya

More than gifting. Effortlessly cool. Your aesthetic muse

I’am Becca — Mum of Three, Owner and Curator of Claya. After losing my husband to Brain Cancer, and just weeks later giving birth to our son, the reality of being the sole provider for my family hit me hard. It was terrifying. In that moment, I reflected deeply on what I truly wanted in life and how I could balance solo parenting with building something meaningful.

I’am naturally introverted, and the digital world can feel overwhelming. But Claya became my way to connect with others on my own terms, creating something real in a noisy, chaotic space. In many ways, building Claya has been part of my grieving process. It has given me a sense of purpose, focus, and something beautiful to hold onto in a time when everything has felt heavy.

Claya grew from that place. A curated collection of brands I adore from Australia and beyond, chosen for their form, function, and story. Not a traditional gift shop, but a thoughtful edit of the kinds of things you actually want to give (and receive): design-led, quality-focused, and made to last.

My biggest drive? To help others—whether that’s supporting small makers, inspiring thoughtful gifting, or giving back in small ways through Claya. It’s more than business; it’s about creating community and connection in an often noisy world.

We pack every order in-house and ship across Australia with care, always offering the option to build your own box, because sometimes the best gift doesn’t come pre-made.

Claya is for the moments that matter, and the ones in between. A gift shop, yes—but also a place to discover what speaks to you.

Claya is not for everyone. Yet, it is imperative that we talk to all consumers that value the beauty, uniqueness, and aesthetic of the brands/products that we sell. Our products do not compete on price – we define ourselves on quality.
